The holidays are difficult times for almost everyone with addiction, and pose several threats for those early in recovery. A & E network, in coordination with the White House Office of Drug Control Policy developed this fine panel discussion program on recovery during the holidays. I had the pleasure of working with several national experts in this prese3ntation.
If you or someone you care about is in recovery, we believe this video might help with shore up defenses in this wondrous but often challenging time.
The holidays are difficult times for almost everyone with substance abuse and addiction problems; they pose a distinct threat for those early in recovery. In 2010, A & E network, in coordination with the White House Office of Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) brought together experts from across the country to discuss how to successfully navigate the holidays if you or a friend or loved one is in recovery. I had the pleasure of being one of the panel of experts in this presentation. We brought this article forward during this holiday season to once to highlight the importance of taking care of yourself and others during this joyful but stressful time.
If you or someone you care about is in recovery, we believe watching this video might help shore up defenses against relapse in this wondrous, but often challenging time. You may want to also go to the A&E site or the ONDCP site for additional information.
